7/15/2014

We have had a very busy week here in Brasil. There have been many things happening. We have attended three church services (Santo Antonio-Carpina Friends-, Cajueiro Claro Friends, Acacias Community Church) while we have been here this past week, plus several living stones projects (Cajueiro Claro, Musserepe and Belem). We also had a cupcake decorating class at Cajueiro Claro with the women group with our 10yr old team member from the states as the teacher. We have attended sopamigos (Friends soup) at Carpina Friends we made  many new friends. There were two projects that we attended Musserepe and Belem and did a bible study with the children in these areas.

The rest of the team from the Morning Star Friends Church leaves today for Brasil. So keep them in your prayers as they are traveling.
As the next group comes to Brasil we are going to spread and do many different things. We will have 4 groups 1 group will be  two boys for basketball, another groups is 3 men  helping with construction, we will have a group of ladies working with living stones and VBS at the international school and Cajueiro Claro. Then we have a teacher training session at the school that will happen this week.

God is definitely working here in Brasil.
Keep us in your prayers

WE ARRIVED

7/9/14
Friends and Family,
My last month in the US flew by and so many things happened that last month. I received two new part time as needed jobs plus was still working at a nursing home and doing home health care. I had raised enough money to stay in Brasil. I was accepted into a college for when I  come back to finish my nursing degree. That is just the major things.

Yesterday, my mom and I and an other woman and her daughter embarked on an adventure. We would fly down to Brasil a week before the others from our church. We had a very uneventful flight. The food was good, we were in good company and most of the four were able to fall asleep on the plane.
